We’ve got a 5* Food Hygiene Rating

We are very proud and pleased to announce we have received a Food Hygiene Five Rating. The scheme gives businesses a rating from 5 to 0 which is displayed at their premises and online so you can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food. 5 – hygiene standards are very good 4 – hygiene standards are good 3 – hygiene standards are generally satisfactory 2 – some improvement is necessary 1 – major improvement is necessary

Salt Bakehouse sell delicious fresh bread here every Tuesday

Very excited to have Salt Bakehouse joining us tomorrow. Salt Bakehouse will be on the Farm at 10am until 11am on Tuesdays. They are now using our milk in their produce, keeping it local! They have the ‘Stonehouse Milk Loaf’ made with Stonehouse Milk of course… fresh & local. Overnight batch loaves on sale. Super low yeast sweet as SALT.

Wildlife hedge planted

Last week we had Chris the Wildlife Gardener plant a hedge supplied by FWAG (Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group). The hedge plants chosen are intended to support wildlife on the farm. FWAG have visited us several times and are advising and supporting us in our plans to improve the farm for wildlife.

Stonehouse Milk latest twins and Dennis cows

New Year’s news

Margaret the very cuddly cow had a calf this week, he is as friendly as his mum. We have named him Dennis. Dinky, Muffin, Willow and Dahlia were weaned off milk over Christmas and this week they graduated to the heifer shed with the 6 month and below calves, they’re all special but I do have a few favourites in here and they do love a fuss. Christmas Day morning
