Spectators and competitors enjoyed some fine coffee and fine bread and pastries (both use our Stonehouse Milk) from local independent businesses The Coffee Lada and (weekly regular visitors) Salt Bakehouse on Sunday whilst we hosted the Standish Woodland Chase, which started and finished at the farm. Thank you to all who attended and enjoyed meeting our calves.

Tomorrow is LEAF Open Farm Sunday on many farms in the UK including us at Stonehouse Milk aka Horsemarling Farm. We are a family farm, founded by us, John and Jenny in March 2021, we do not have a team of staff, it’s just us and our 3 boys. We are often joined by a retired gentleman who gives us his time and knowledge and Dan who milks a couple of times a week with us. Tomorrow the milk shake
Please can people kindly keep to the paths in our fields. We have a crop growing in fields behind Maidenhill School and today a lady was photographed standing in middle of crop allowing her dogs to run through the crop terrifying the wild deer in the field. Thank you.
5p of every litre of milk sold goes to a local charity. From when we opened in February to the end of April the charity we (and you) supported was FOLSS (Friends of Leonard Stanley school). You raised £406! Thank you. The next charity that Stonehouse Milk will be supporting is Stonehouse Park Federation PTA. From the beginning of May to the end of July 5p of every litre sold will go to supporting this great cause.
Very excited to have Salt Bakehouse joining us tomorrow. Salt Bakehouse will be on the Farm at 10am until 11am on Tuesdays. They are now using our milk in their produce, keeping it local! They have the ‘Stonehouse Milk Loaf’ made with Stonehouse Milk of course… fresh & local. Overnight batch loaves on sale. Super low yeast sweet as SALT.
Last week we had Chris the Wildlife Gardener plant a hedge supplied by FWAG (Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group). The hedge plants chosen are intended to support wildlife on the farm. FWAG have visited us several times and are advising and supporting us in our plans to improve the farm for wildlife.
